Redcaps like to distill the vital sap from a dryad's tree into a potent beverage. More often than not, this means wounding the tree and sickening the dryad.
If you come across any vital sap, you can apply it to the tree wounds and heal the dryads. Redcap Thorns often have sap on them. If you have to kill some redcaps to get it, so much the better.
