Trapped[edit source]

Recently it came to my attention there is a roach motel inside this quest. A friend of mine called me to assist them because they got stuck. I told them to use /stuck or /killme. They informed me they already had several times. In the end there was nothing they could do but give up and start again. I am asking them to supply me with a few pictures of the trap.

Basically they hopped up on a wall and saw a chest on the other side. After opening the chest they are stuck because all the walls around you are too high to jump back over. I don't know if the chest is always there or just random but as soon as I get screen shots I will post them here.

1. Jumping up on this fountain allows the player to access a wall.

2. Looking over the wall the player can see a chest.

3. If the player jumps down after this chest, they must restart the quest. There is no way to escape this trap.
All four walls are too high and there is no objects or platforms inside to assist you.
I cannot take this quest as I have already completed it. Feel free to tell us, if you know how to obtain the contents of this hidden chest and escape the pit.

There is a switch behind the temple and you need use Dungeoneering skill to use it. I'll upload screenshot when the server will be up. Adriaen6 (talk) 14:55, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
Thank you, but can you get out using the Dungeoneering kit? If not, this is still a trap. Then if you can, only players with Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue or a kit could escape from the area. Wendy Black 17:53, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
If you enter the area "legit way" (using kit to open the "gate") you will escape. There is a hidden gate in the wall. Although, if you jump over the wall, you basically use exploit. Adriaen6 (talk) 07:48, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
This not an exploit, look up the definition of exploit; 1. accomplishment, adventure, deed 2. abuse, impose upon, gain from misuse. None of these fit, since this is the opposite. I too got trapped in this developers bug. It is a bug and needs to be fixed. I have worked in the Foundry this could be fixed in one of two methods. First place an invisible wall (cylinder) around the fountain and/or second place an invisible wall atop the high wall. There is nothing to gain by jumping in this area. However like many other players, I like to explore the map I am in and part of exploring is climbing. I had the needed skill, but was unable to exit. Having to quit and start over is not a benefit or a gain. 15:02, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

I don't think they were trying to report a bug, just commenting on how it is (in their opinion) a bug and not an exploit. I doubt will read this anyways, since their is barely a wiki here. We need more people adding facts to this wiki in order for it more useful to the users. This is however a discussion page for this quest. I believe everyone here on this page has been discussing an on going issue with this quest. Unless you wanted this posted in some fashion to the notes on the subject page? I'm fairly sure, nobody but a hand full of geeks, like myself, even bother to dig this deep into the wiki. Also note, PWE does not "develope" Neverwinter Online, they are the publisher. Cryptic is the developer and I agree neither will be coming here to read a discussion about the game or this quest. Wendy Black 16:22, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
