How to find dye RGB-hex values[edit source]
Your character must possess the dye pack. Open the Change Appearance window. To the right of the dye pack's name are small samples. Take a .tga screenshot (not .jpg). Use the color picker tool from an image editing program (I use GIMP). Topmost sample is accent, then primary in the middle, then secondary at the bottom. Awkward, but effective. -- Two30 (talk) 01:21, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
- This is such a great find. Generic windows paint works fine for color checking BTW, as long as you have a RGB to Hex converter handy. :) - Serpinecoh (talk) 16:50, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
- There are a ton of online HEX/color/RGB tools out there to help you with color conversion such as [Name that Color] this page will let you enter in the hex and find the closest name. Vr2LRose (talk) 19:34, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
Dye Weapons[edit source]
It's actually still possible to dye weapons - just not via the regular menu, but via /genaddwindow dye_root. Which makes removing that possibility even more stupid.
