Right after the attack, the drow set up these strange devices in the village. These "Shroud Spinners" shoot some kind of magic into the air, forming the web of darkness that's covering the village. That web is getting bigger, but destroying the Shroud Spinners might slow its growth down, or even stop it.
The Shroud Spinners can be found along the river to the east and west, as well as in the town to the south. They'll always be guarded, so keep your guard up.
