Requirement[ | ]
Race: Elf
Objective[ | ]
Activate and defend the Song Portal northeast of Helm's Hold until it collapses.
Summary[ | ]
Meryth Heartwood
Song paths were works of art. A singer would lead an audience through beautiful vistas of historical places, where illusions would recreate the events described in the song. When Illefarn fell, the song portals were ordered destroyed, lest they fall into enemy hands. But some caretakers could not bring themselves to destroy their beloved works of art.
Take this stone to open the song portal for a few moments. During this time it is vulnerable. Defend the collapsing portal from the Ashmadai. When the portal closes, it will take with it one last memory of our ancient and lost glory.
Steps[ | ]
- Destroy the Song Portal
- Return to Meryth Heartwood
Completion[ | ]
Meryth Heartwood
Your victory is bittersweet, friend. While you have prevented the Ashmadai madmen from warping the portal to their own purposes, a piece of our shared history as elves of Faerûn has been erased. Too often have we lost our monuments and heirlooms to the depredations of invaders.
At least here, it was in service to the greater good. Thank you for helping me do what little I could to protect this place.
