Summary[edit | edit source]

Archdruid Morningdawn
The Black Earth Mercenaries were entrusted with the protection of Helm's Hold. The fact that they are secretly a cult is of grave concern to Lord Neverember. The elemental seeds you recovered have restored balance for a while, but the cult will seek others to power their node.

Whataver their ultimate aim with this node, we must recover more elemental seeds. Preventing them from falling into the cultists' hands buys us time to discover their plans.

To that end I ask you to venture to Pirates' Skyhold, where Zhentarim agents have noticed some suspicious characters in the guise of monks. There may be nothing to it, but we must be vigilant. Minsc will meet you there.

You and I will dispense justice together again! It seems the druid is suspicious of some monks and we must investigate. Boo and I look forward to adventuring with you once more. Let us hope there will be much fighting and Boo has a chance to show his prowess. You will have to watch closely: his prowess is small and easy to miss.

At Pirates' Skyhold[edit | edit source]

There were some weird-looking strangers came through here recently, now you mention it.

What did they call themselves, now? Mystics! That was it. They said they were looking for a place to meditate in peace. Seemed harmless enough. We sent them out to the Isle of Wind and Flames, an earth mote not far off.

If I were you I'd stay away though, that big bald fellow who just came through seemed like he meant business. Still, if you are sure you want to go, head back onto the skyship. We're casting off in a moment and we can take you to the island.

Here you are at last. Boo was wondering where you got to. We are anxious for justice to be dispensed... with great violence!

A devastation orb! This is extremely distressing. The raw energy of elemental chaos unleashed can cause untold disaster. A devastation orb holds that energy in stasis until the orb is used, when the power bursts forth in a mighty earthquake, raging firestorm, catastrophic tidal wave, or whirlwind of death.

I must alert Lord Neverember to this new threat. We must redouble our efforts.

I fear there is a long way to go in this struggle; the cults are clearly more dangerous than I imagined. Please plant the seeds in the cradle beneath the tree. This will dissipate the energy stored within and help restore the balance.
