Gauntlets are Black Ice Shaping Profession Assets that can be acquired as necessary components for completion of most Black Ice Shaping tasks and/or as optional components that will improve the chances of increasing the quality (Tier) of finished Black Ice Shaping tasks.

Armor Scale Hand T3a G3[Worn Gauntlets] are acquired by completing the "Baerick's Iceforge I" task in the Icewind Dale Campaign. Gauntlets of higher tiers may be acquired from Icon Cstore Pack Booster Professions[Professions Booster Pack] and asset packs purchased in the Zen store. Gauntlets are not bound and may be traded on the Tarmalune Auction House or transferred between players.

A task requiring Gauntlets as an asset will take any tier of Gauntlets in its slot. Higher tiered Gauntlets serve only to improve the chances of producing a higher tiered result in tasks for which they are used.

At Profession Level 2, 4x Armor Scale Hand T3a G3[Iron Gauntlets] can be upgraded to produce Armor Scale Hand T3a G3[Steel Gauntlets].
At Profession Level 3, 4x Armor Scale Hand T3a G3[Steel Gauntlets] can be upgraded to produce Armor Scale Hand T3a G3[Mithral Gauntlets].
There is no task that will allow Armor Scale Hand T3a G3[Worn Gauntlets] to become Armor Scale Hand T3a G3[Iron Gauntlets].
