Like I promised, I've had a few scouts out looking for that dwarf for the last few days, and sure enough, he has been spotted near the ruins of Gauntlgrym.

We need to know more about him. He could be a threat to Neverwinter if he's in league with the vampire drow.

Find him for me. Find out what he knows.

Dialogue[edit | edit source]

Thibbledorf Pwent
That helm! Where's the blasted helm? The dogs, they must've took it!

Bah, I'll kill the pig-nosed sons o' orcs what took it! I'll kill 'em to death in battle!

Player
Calm down, what Helm?
Thibbledorf Pwent
Bruenor's helm! It was me charge! Me sacred trust! I defend the grave o' King Bruenor Battlehammer, me king!

Well, now ye know. I'm goin' to get th' helm back. Are ye coming? Can ye fight aside me?

Player
I'll help you find Bruenor's Helm, but then you have a lot to explain to me.
Thibbledorf Pwent
Eh? Them golems?

They're s'pposed t' defend Gauntlgrym from them who ain't worthy of enterin' it.

Me an' Bruenor figured Moradin himself first made 'em, but as you're seein', they're gettin' old.

I'll hafta figure out a way to repair 'em once this is all over.

Thibbledorf Pwent
Ah, Pwent, ye fool, ye had one charge, and ye didnae even fulfill that after ye death!
Player
Your death? So, you're undead?
Thibbledorf Pwent
Aye. I fell beside me King. A hunnerd years ago. Me throat was slit by a vampire, but he didnae kill me. He made me one o' him, a vampire, cursed. The vampire meant te turn me against me king.

Bah! No curse’s to keep me from servin' me King! I fought the curse and gained control o' meself, then started turnin' Drow into me minions to protect Gauntlgrym.

Now me minions are out o' my control cause of them blasted Ashmadai and the Thayan witch!

I have to go after the girl. The helm... it's me sacred charge. Me king! If I cannae get the helm back, I'm lost anyway.

Player
But that's what she wants you to do. I'll recover the helm instead.
Thibbledorf Pwent
Can ye? Aye, that might work.

I been thinkin' an' talkin' and I think Moradin's heared me plight. I think I can use the magic o' that throne – with Moradin's blessings – to give yerself some o' me magic.

Ye'll be able to sense the helm, an' if I'm unnerstandin' things right, when ye get close to it, ye'll gain just a bit o' me power. Should help ye in the fightin', not that ye seem to need the help!

Player
I'll take Moradin's Blessing, then return to Captain Belgold to see if we can find the helm.

Completion[edit | edit source]

Captain Belgold
Let me get this straight... Pwent is a vampire servant of Moradin whose vampire drow army has now gone out of control because of the Ashmadai and a Thayan wizard.

And, to make matters worse, this wizard has stolen the helm of Bruenor Battlehammer, a legend amongst the dwarves, and intends to use it to gain complete control over Pwent.

Never a dull day when working with an adventurer. I'll have my scouts search for any more Ashmadai camps. This Candelaria can't be far.
