The Alchemical Extravaganza was a calendar event was scheduled to run from July 17th to July 21st, 2014, but was suspended due to exploits. It returned August 22nd to August 29th, 2014. The event returned for another run from March 27th to March 30th, 2015.
During the event, alchemy upgrade tasks for tools and alchemists take 20 minutes to complete, rather than the standard 18 hours.

During this event, you will be able to upgrade you Alchemy assets at a vastly accelerated rate.
In addition, the Profession Supplies Merchant in Protector's Enclave will give you a [Purified Lead] in exchange for Alchemy resources and assets. These can be used to purchase:
The [Codex of Alchemical Mastery] can be used in an Alchemy profession task to entice an [Alchemist Experimenter] to join your party. This task will be available even after the celestial alignment ends, as long as you have the necessary item.
