Trading

Introduction

Some terms relating to the economy are explained in the Economy FAQ, please read this first if some things are unclear.

Note that, in order to combat gold spammers, new accounts are required to complete any five of the following quest chains on any one character to unlock trading, the auction house and other social functions:

1. Return of the Crown
2. The Tower District
3. The Plague Tower
4. Blackdagger Ruins (Counts as two)
5. Neverdeath
6. Helm's Hold

Additionally, in order to avoid rush by sharing the specifics quests that need to be completed, the completion of those shared quests will not count until every preliminary quests has been completed as well, in their order of appearance. However, optional quests that aren't related to the main track can be skipped.

Trading

Player to Player trading is allowed after level 30.

It is important that when trading in-game with another player you ensure the item you are trading for is shown in the offer window before accepting the trade. It is not possible to trade player to player using Astral Diamonds - for this please use the Auction House section in this Wiki.

Gold

When trading items for gold you should first value your items in Astral Diamonds using the Auction House and Lowest Buyout Price. Very roughly 1000 is equal to 1.

So an item worth 50,000 you should be looking to buy or sell at around 50.

Scams and con-artists

There are many scams and cons that dishonest players use to get goods, gold and Astral Diamonds from people.

These include:

1. Removing items/gold just before the trade is accepted
2. Asking for the items/gold and promising to return on their alt with your trade items
3. Asking for Astral Diamonds - which will involve asking you to buy-out a low value (rubbish) item for a huge amount of Astral Diamonds with them promising to mail or give the original item you are after to you.
