Role[edit | edit source]
Warlocks can fill one of three roles in a group. They can dedicate themselves to the dark arts and decimate their foes, either by dealing necrotic damage and cursing foes or by summoning their soul puppet to augment their damage. Additionally Warlocks can support their allies by tearing the souls from their foes to heal and empower their allies. The three feat trees are broken up as described below.
- Fury – A Fury Warlock destroys their foes with fire and death, cursing their foes and then decimating them with their most powerful spells, leaving them a smoking husk.
- Damnation – A Damnation Warlock controls a soul puppet to empower themselves and destroy their foes, eventually making this puppet a permanent part of their arsenal. While their Soul Puppet is active they are a much more potent combatant who can destroy foes at various distances.
- Temptation – A Temptation Warlock binds the souls of their foes and their allies to steal the very life force from their foes to heal their allies. They also command several auras that bolster nearby allies or weaken nearby foes.

|0||Mechanic||Lesser Curse||Deals damage over time, and counts as a Curse for power interactions.
Applied by numerous powers and feats.
|0||Mechanic||Soul Puppet||Several Warlock powers can summon a Soul Puppet to fight alongside you. You may only have a single Soul Puppet active at any time. Soul Puppets will follow you for 120 seconds or until they have attacked 5 times, at which point they will dissipate. If you attempt to summon a Soul Puppet when you already have one active your current Soul Puppet gains a 20% increase in damage for 20 seconds. This effect can stack up to 5 times.|
|0||Mechanic||Soul Spark||Various Soulbinder spells siphon the life force from targets, granting you a Soul Spark. Critically striking a foe also grants you a Soul Spark.
You may have up to 30 Soul Sparks at any given time and they passively increase your Life Steal by .08% each. When combat ends you are healed for .5% of your max life for each Soul Spark you possess and they are consumed. Soul Sparks last until consumed or combat ends.
|0||At-Will||Dark Spiral Aura||(80' range) Fire a blast of dark energy at your target, expending your collected Dark Spirals to increase the damage and Action Point gain. If you have no Dark Spirals, you will create one instead of attacking. Additionally, you gain a Dark Spiral when you land a killing blow on a foe.
Curse Synergy: Whenever one of your Cursed targets is killed, you collect a Dark Spiral. (Max 3)
|0||At-Will||Eldritch Blast||(80' range) A blast of eldritch flame scorches your target. The third strike also damages enemies around your primary target.|
|0||Encounter||Killing Flames||(80' range, 14s cooldown) Use your target's suffering to fuel infernal flames around them. Damage is increased based on the percentage of target's missing Hit Points, reaching maximum potential when they are at 25% Hit Points.
Killing your target with this power builds 25% more Action Points and spawns a soul puppet.
|0||Daily||Brood of Hadar||(80' range) You overwhelm your target with shadows, holding them in place while dark horrors rise around them. Nearby targets take reduced damage from this attack, and all affected are Slowed and will be attacked by the spawned horrors.|
|0||Class Feature||Shadow Walk||Increase your run speed by 10% and your Deflect and Life Steal Chances by 2%.|
|5||Encounter||Infernal Spheres||(Personal, 8s cooldown) Summons an array of infernal spheres, and will replenish 1 sphere every 5 seconds. While the spheres surround you, each one grants you 5% Damage Resistance. Spheres will seek out and damage those that attack you. While the spheres are active, activating this power again will cause them to explode, dealing damage in a small area around you.
You are healed for 25% of the damage dealt by these spheres. When you are under 50% Hit Points, this healing increases to 50% of the damage dealt.
Targets damaged by Infernal Spheres have a chance to ignite with a Lesser Curse.
|5||Encounter||Vampiric Embrace||(80' range, 16s cooldown) Rip the life essence from your target, dealing damage and converting 75% of that damage into Hit Points.
Warlock's Curse Consume: Gain Temporary Hit Points equal to double the amount of health stolen. Warlock's Curse is expended.
|10||Mechanic||Warlock's Curse||(80'range) Places a Warlock's Curse on your target, increasing the damage they receive from you by 20%. You may place your Warlock's Curse on up to 3 different targets.
Many of your powers have additional properties when used on enemies affected by some form of Curse.
|10||Daily||Accursed Souls||(Personal, 40' burst) Draw in the souls of nearby enemies, Healing yourself and corrupting their spirits, which you then force back into their bodies, dealing damage and afflicting them with a Lesser Curse.
Additionally, you spawn a Soul Puppet when this power is activated.
|10||Daily||Flames of Phlegethos||(80' range) Liquid eldritch fire drips over your target, dealing damage over time. The intense heat deals 25% of its damage to nearby enemies.|
|15||Encounter||Dreadtheft||(80' range, 4' Cylinder, 16s cooldown) You unleash a dark beam that lances through your enemies. This power will continue to fire for up to 6 seconds.
Curse Synergy: Increases the damage targets take from all sources while they are affected by Dreadtheft, and based on the number of Cursed targets hit, reduces your incoming damage while you are using Dreadtheft. (Max stack of 3)
|15||Class Feature||Dark One's Blessing||Gain life whenever a target affected by your Warlock's Curse dies, and your Life Steal Chance and Life Steal Severity are increased by 4%.|
|15||Class Feature||Deadly Curse||Your Warlock's Curse deals damage when applied to targets not already affected by your Warlock's Curse.|
|20||Unlock||Rank 3||When you have spent enough points, you will have unlocked the third rank of all your powers. You will be able to spend points on any power to raise it to Rank 3 and unleash more of its potential.|
|20||At-Will||Hand of Blight||(80' range) You form necrotic power in your hand and hurl it at your opponent from range.
In melee range you don't form the projectiles and attack faster. In addition, these melee strikes create Blight on the target temporarily reducing their damage. (Max 4 stacks)
The fourth hit at either range deals additional damage, and the melee hit also adds an additional stack of Blight.
|20||Encounter||Fiery Bolt||(80' range, 14s cooldown) You fling a ball of Eldritch Flame that explodes upon hitting your target, dealing reduced damage to nearby targets.
Curse Synergy: Surrounding targets now take full damage from the blast.
|20||Class Feature||Warding Curse||Cursed targets deal 4% less damage to you.|
|30||Encounter||Curse Bite||(Personal, 150' Burst, 10s cooldown) Deals damage to your Cursed targets.|
|30||Encounter||Pillar of Power||(Personal, 15s cooldown) Create a conduit of power at your location. While you stand in the conduit, your Damage and Damage Resistance are increased.
If any enemy enters the conduit, their Damage and Damage Resistance are reduced for a short duration and they take damage as long as they stand within the conduit.
|30||Encounter||Soul Scorch||(80' range) You expend a Soul Spark to blast a foe with black fire, dealing heavy damage. This power has no cooldown, but requires 6 Soul Sparks to be cast.
Curse Consume: If this power strikes a Cursed target the flame also continues to burn for 6 seconds. This effect can stack and consumes the Curse.
|30||Class Feature||Flames of Empowerment||When you attack a target with your At-Will powers, they are affected by Flames of Empowerment for 6 seconds. Flames of Empowerment increases the damage you deal to that target by 2% and stacks 3 times.|
|30||Class Feature||Borrowed Time||While you have Soul Sparks they heal you every 2 seconds for .08% of your HP per Soul Spark.|
|35||At-Will||Hellish Rebuke||(80' range) A fiery rebuke that deals damage and ignites your target with hellfire. If they foolishly strike you after the rebuke, they will be met with another blast of hellfire.
They can only be affected by this additional blast once every second.
|35||At-Will||Essence Defiler||(80' range) You blast a target repeatedly, siphoning some of its life energy into a Soul Spark.
Curse Synergy: Cursed targets grant three Soul Sparks on the final attack.
|35||Encounter||Harrowstorm||(80' range, 16s cooldown) Call up a churning storm of eldritch power around your target, damaging them and enemies around them for a brief duration.
Curse Synergy: Applying a Warlock's Curse to the main target while Harrowstorm is active will surge the storm, Knocking the target into the air and leaving them Prone, but ending Harrowstorm.
|40||Daily||Tyrannical Threat||(Personal) Temporarily changes your Warlock's Curse class mechanic to Tyrannical Curse.
Those affected by Tyrannical Curse are damage linked, and deal 15% of the damage you deal to them to other targets within 30'.
|40||Class Feature||No Pity, No Mercy||Critical hits now briefly give you Combat Advantage over critically hit targets.|
|40||Class Feature||Dust to Dust||When your Soul Sparks heal you they also generate .8% of your Maximum AP.|
|45||Encounter||Warlock's Bargain||(80' range, 16s cooldown) You forge a link between an enemy's soul and your own, and then offer it to your dark patrons. You sacrifice 15% of your own Hit Points to steal life from your target over time. In addition, 15% of your incoming damage is redirected to your linked target.
Warlock's Bargain is considered a curse, but is not removed by powers that consume them.
|45||Encounter||Wraith's Shadow||(80' range, 10s cooldown) You summon shadows to smother your foe in a sickly mass of darkness, reducing their outgoing damage, and dealing damage over time. Additional damage is dealt on the final tick.
You may re-activate this power to convert the damage over time aspect into an Immobilize.
Curse Consume: The follow-up power now also Immobilizes, weakens and damages enemies near your target. Curse is expended.
|50||Encounter||Blades of Vanquished Armies||(Personal, 11' Burst, 10s cooldown) You create a swarm of shadowy blades that circle around you, damaging nearby enemies.
Curse Synergy: Blades will periodically fling themselves at targets affected by your Warlock's Curse.
|50||Daily||Gates of Hell||(80' range) Summon a hellgate at target location that spews a stream of hellish flame in your direction. Enemies killed by the blast are reduced to ash and part of their essence is pulled through the gate as an offering to the dark gods. Pleased by your gift, the gods will restore some of your Action Points. In addition, players killed by this power may not be revived by other players.|
|50||Daily||Immolation Spirits||(160' range) You consume Soul Sparks to animate burning spirits to attack your foes for 15 seconds. These spirits gain 10% increased damage resistance and 25% increased damage for every 6 Soul Sparks consumed.|
|50||Class Feature||Prince of Hell||Increases your Armor Penetration stat by 10%.|
|50||Class Feature||Snuff Out||When a target within 30' of you dies you gain a Soul Spark. This effect can trigger once every 5 seconds.|
|60||Encounter||Hadar's Grasp||(80' range, 20s cooldown) You lift your foe into the air, dealing damage to them and stunning them.
Curse Consume: Consume Curse effects to lift your target for twice as long.
|60||Class Feature||Dark Prayers||When your Hit Points are below 50% you gain 5% damage resistance and 1% Life Steal.|
|65||Encounter||Arms of Hadar||(29' range, 45° Cone, 3s cooldown) Unleash a giant shadowy hand in a line in front of you, damaging all foes. Each time you cast this power, its Cooldown period increases by 2 seconds. This effect stack, but fades after 15 seconds.|
|65||Class Feature||All-Consuming Curse||Your Critical Strike now has a 33% chance to apply Lesser Curse.
|70||Unlock||Rank 4||When you have spent enough points, you will have unlocked the fourth rank of all your powers. You will be able to spend points on any power to raise it to Rank 4 and unleash its maximum potential.|

A Fury Warlock seeks the destruction of their enemies above all else, and specializes in enhanced damage.
|1||5||Daughter's Promises||When a Cursed target is killed, you deal 20/40/60/80/100% of your weapon damage as Necrotic damage to up to 3 targets near the recently slain.|
|5||Critical Promise||After a critical hit, your next attack will also deal 10/20/30/40/50% of your weapon damage as Necrotic damage.|
|2||5||Offering to the Prisoner||When a Cursed target is killed, your damage is increased by 1/2/3/4/5% for 15 seconds.|
|5||Gatekeeper's Empowerment||Gates of Hell now deals 5/10/15/20/25% more damage and generates 10/20/30/40/50% more Action Points for each target killed.
Additionaly, the DoT component of Hellish Rebuke now deals 5/10/15/20/25% more damage.
|5||Burning Soul||Your Soul Sparks now also increase your damage by .06/.12/.18/.24/.3% per Soul Spark.|
|3||5||Infernal Wrath||Your Lesser Curse also causes the target to have 1/2/3/4/5% less Damage Resistance.|

|6||1||Creeping Death||When you deal damage with your At-Will, Encounter, or Daily powers to targets affected by your Warlock's Curse they are afflicted with Creeping Death. Creeping Death deals 60% additional damage as Necrotic damage over 8 seconds. Creeping Deaths stacks.|

The Damnation Warlock uses curses to aid allies, weaken foes, and corrupt the weak.
|1||5||Parting Blasphemy||When a Curse is removed from a target, deal 10/20/30/40/50% of your weapon damage to that target.|
|5||Relentless Curse||When your Warlock's Curse is removed from a target, that target has a 20/40/60/80/100% chance to be afflicted with a Lesser Curse.|
|2||5||Syphoning Curse||When a Cursed target is killed, the slayer of that target is Healed for 20/40/60/80/100% of your weapon damage every second for 3 seconds.|
|5||Power of the Nine Hells||The Damage and Damage Resistance buffs provided by Pillar of Power encounter now last for 1/2/3/4/5 seconds after you leave its area, and allies can now receive 10/20/30/40/50% of the buffs' effect.|
|5||Sparkbinder||The fire spirits summoned by Immolation Spirits now last 1/2/3/4/5 seconds longer and your Immolation Spirits gain an additional 5/10/15/20/25% of your Maximum Hit Points.|
|3||5||Mocking Spirit||Your Soul Puppet now deals 200/400/600/800/1000% more threat, and your Soul Puppet gains an additional 10/20/30/40/50% of your Maximum Hit Points.|
|5||Spiritfire||Foes near your Soul Puppet now also take damage 15/30/45/60/75% of your Weapon Damage as Fire damage every second.|

|5||Wrathful Souls||Your Soul Puppets deal 20/40/60/80/100% more damage, and their attacks now siphon some of that health to you, healing you for 2/4/6/8/10% of their damage, healing you.|
|6||1||Soul Desecration||Your Soul Puppet moves faster and no longer dissipates after 5 hits. Targets marked by Warlock's Curse are corrupted and will spawn a Soul Puppet when killed. Additionally every 15 seconds, the next time you deal damage you spawn a Soul Puppet.|

The Temptation Warlock bolsters his allies and siphons the life from his foes.

|5||Hope Stealer||On critical hits, your Life Steal Chance and Life Steal are increased by 1/2/3/4/5% for 4 seconds.|
|2||5||Compounded Soul||Striking Cursed foes has a chance to grant 1/2/3/4/5% of the Warlock's Max HP as Temporary Hit Points to allies near the Warlock.|
|5||Hellish Condemnation||Targets affected by your Hellish Rebuke atwill deal 1/2/3/4/5% less damage.|
|5||Vampiric Sparks||Your Soul Sparks increase your Life Steal by an additional .01/.02/.03/.04/.05% per Spark.|
|3||5||Soul Breaker||When a foe dies within 30' of the Warlock, a random nearby ally gains 2/4/6/8/10% of their AP.|
|5||Dark Revelry||When you Life Steal there is a chance to gain Revelry. Revelry increases the Move Speed and Power of nearby allies by 4/8/12/16/20% for 5 seconds.|
|4||5||Aura of Despair||Enemies within 50' of you deal 1/2/3/4/5% less damage.|
|5||Aura of Cruelty||You and all teammates within 50' of you gain 1/2/3/4/5% Life Steal Chance.|
|5||5||Eldritch Momentum||You restore 1/2/3/4/5% stamina each time you take damage.|
|5||Darkness||Enemies damaged by Blades of Vanquished Armies briefly deal 2/4/6/8/10% less damage to you.|
|6||1||Soul Bonding||Your powers now heal your allies for a percentage of their damage equal to your Life Steal Chance. This effect is 30% as effective on Area of Effect powers. The healing component of your Vampiric Embrace now also heals allies for 100% of its value.|
