Boons are permanent character bonuses that can be obtained by progressing through campaigns. They were introduced with Module 1: Fury of the Feywild. Boons function much the same as feats - permanent character effects that stay with you forever. There are five tiers, and only one buff can be chosen at each tier. The first four tiers have only 2 choices, while the final fifth tier offers 4 choices. Unlike feats, your choices cannot be reset direct with Astral Diamonds, but reseting feats reset them too. They can be reset by a [Retraining Token] too.

Sharandar Campaign[edit | edit source]

Tier 1 - Iliyanbruen Warden Training[edit | edit source]

"Iliyanbruen wardens know how to protect themselves and others from the many dangers of the Feywild."

Cost: 60 Gold Crescent, 2 Gold

Dark Fey Warden You gain 400 Defense.
Dark Fey Hunter You gain 400 Power.

Tier 2 - Iliyanbruen Scout Training[edit | edit source]

"Iliyanbruen scouts leave no trace as they pass through the forests of the Feywild. They are masters of stealth and ambush."

Cost: 60 Gold Crescent, 2 Gold

Fey Elusiveness You gain 400 Deflect.
Fey Precision You gain 400 Critical Strike.

Tier 3 - Iliyanbruen Warrior Training[edit | edit source]

"Iliyanbruen warriors hone their fighting skills with ancient martial traditions harkening back to the Grand Kingdom of Illefarn."

Cost: 18 Iliyanbruen Blades, 160 Feywild Spark, 40 Gold Crescent, 4 Gold

Feywilds Fortitude Your Max HP is increased by 1600.
Elven Haste You now gain Action Points 3% faster.

Tier 4 - Iliyanbruen Sentinel Training[edit | edit source]

"Iliyanbruen sentinels master their passions to remain calm in the face of danger or ferocious in the heat of battle."

Cost: 9 Vibrant Seedling, 9 Abjuring Charm, 9 Iliyanbruen Blades, 220 Feywild Spark, 60 Gold Crescent, 4 Gold

Elven Tranquility When being struck by a foe you have a chance to heal yourself for 20000 HP. (60s Internal Cooldown)
Elven Ferocity When striking a foe you have a chance to deal up to 20000 Arcane damage. (60s Internal Cooldown)

Tier 5 - Iliyanbruen Champion Training[edit | edit source]

"Iliyanbruen champions master the secrets of elven battle magic to become an unstoppable force against their enemies."

Cost: 9 Vibrant Seedling, 9 Abjuring Charm, 9 Iliyanbruen Blades, 250 Feywild Spark, 60 Gold Crescent, 6 Gold

Elven Resolve Your Stamina regenerates 10% faster in Combat.
Fey Thistle When you Deflect an attack you deal up to 3000 damage to your attacker. (Proc on every deflected attack. Debuff on attacker and his Damage Resistance affect damage)
Elvish Fury When you kill a foe you gain 135 Power for 45 seconds. This buff stacks up to 30 times.
Redcap Brew Potions now heal you for 10% more.

Dread Ring Campaign[edit | edit source]

Tier 1 - Thayan Apprentice Technique[edit | edit source]

Unlocked by completing "Study Thayan Writings" 3 times.

Reliquary Keeper's Strength You gain 250 Power and 250 Movement.
Conjurer's Gambit You gain 250 Critical Strike and 250 Movement.

Tier 2 - Thayan Initiate Technique[edit | edit source]

Unlocked by completing "Study Thayan Writings" 7 times in total.

Evoker's Thirst You gain 400 Life Steal.
Illusory Regeneration You gain 400 Regeneration.

Tier 3 - Thayan Adept Technique[edit | edit source]

Unlocked by completing "Decipher Thayan Writings" 6 times.

Illusion Shimmer You gain 3% Deflection Chance.
Forbidden Piercing You gain 3% Resistance Ignored.

Tier 4 - Thayan Master Technique[edit | edit source]

Unlocked by completing "Decipher Thayan Writings" 14 times.

Enraged Regrowth When taking damage you have a chance to heal 20000 Hit Points over a few (4) seconds. After this effect ends you have 4000 more Defense for 10 seconds. (80s Internal Cooldown)
Shadowtouch When dealing damage you have a chance to deal 20000 Necrotic damage over a few (4) seconds. After this effect ends the target receives 25% less healing from spells for 10 seconds. (80s Internal Cooldown) (This ability has ~1% chance to proc on any attack, and can proc on any tick of a damage over time effect).

Tier 5 - Thayan Grandmaster Technique[edit | edit source]

Unlocked by completing "Decipher Thayan Writings" 24 times.

Augmented Thayan Bastion When taking damage you have a chance to generate a shield that absorbs up to 10000 incoming damage and redirects that damage to a nearby foe. This shield lasts 6 seconds. (60s Internal Cooldown. Debuff on attacker and his Damage Resistance affect damage)
Rampaging Madness When you deal damage you gain a stack of "Madness". When you reach 50 stacks of "Madness" you gain 4000 Power, 4000 Life Steal, and 4000 Regeneration. 10 seconds after gaining this bonus your stacks are reset. You may only gain one stack of "Madness" per second. (The 10 second rule only applies once damage is dealt after reaching 50 stacks...also, stacks will last for 60 seconds when not dealing damage).
Endless Consumption When you steal health from your Life Steal stat, it has a chance to steal 3 times as much.
Burning Guidance Your healing spells have a chance to burn enemies near the target for up to 2000 Radiant damage.

Icewind Dale Campaign[edit | edit source]

Tier 1 - Icewind Wanderer Skill[edit | edit source]

Requires: 50 Konig Coin, 3 Auril's Tear.

Weathering the Storm You gain 400 AoE Resist.
Encroaching Tactics You gain 400 Combat Advantage Bonus.

Tier 2 - Icewind Scavenger Skill[edit | edit source]

Requires: 50 Konig Coin, 5 Dwarf Gold.

Appreciation of Warmth You gain 400 Incoming Healing Bonus.
Refreshing Chill You gain 400 Stamina/Guard Gain.

Tier 3 - Icewind Survivor Skill[edit | edit source]

Required: 75 Konig Coin, 10 Dwarf Gold, 6 Gold.

Rapid Thaw You gain 400 Recovery.
Sleet Skills You gain 2% Crit Severity.

Tier 4 - Icewind Hunter Skill[edit | edit source]

Requires: 100 Konig Coin, 10 Auril's Tear, 10 Dwarf Gold, 8 Gold.

Cold Shoulder When damaged by a foe you have a chance to proc Cold Shoulder on them, which will reduce the damage of their next attack by up to 2000.
Cool Resolve You gain up to 2000 Power based on how much Stamina or Guard you are missing.

Tier 5 - Icewind Hero Skill[edit | edit source]

Requires: 100 Konig Coin, 15 Auril's Tear, 15 Dwarf Gold, 10 Gold.

Avalanche When damaged by a foe, chance to gain a stack of Avalanche. At 20 Stacks, taking damage will clear the stacks and deal up to 15000 damage to nearby targets.
Rousing Warmth Chance when Healed to gain up to 3000 damage bonus on next attack.
Winter's Bounty Chance to gain bonus 10% Action Points when killing a target.
Shared Survival Drinking Healing Potions now Heal allies within 35 feet for 10% of that potions value.

Tyranny of Dragons Campaign[edit | edit source]

Tier 1 - Form of the Dragon[edit | edit source]

Requires 15 Dragon Hoard Coins, 30 Page of Arcane Lore, 1 Gold.

Dragonheart Grants 1600 Hit Points.
Dragon's Claws Grants 400 Power.

Tier 2 - Power of the Dragon[edit | edit source]

Requires 30 Dragon Hoard Coins, 9 Cult Secret, 40 Page of Arcane Lore, 2 Gold.

Dragon's Shadow Grants 400 Deflect.
Dragon's Gaze Grants 400 Critical Strike.

Tier 3 - Will of the Dragon[edit | edit source]

Requires 45 Dragon Hoard Coins, 18 Cult Secret, 50 Page of Arcane Lore, 3 Gold.

Dragon's Defense Grants 400 Defense.
Draconic Armorbreaker Grants 400 Armor Penetration.

Tier 4 - Spirit of the Dragon[edit | edit source]

Requires 60 Dragon Hoard Coins, 70 Page of Arcane Lore, 4 Gold, [Haarl's Treatise on Dragonkind].

Dragon's Greed Grants 400 Life Steal Rating.
Dragon's Blood Grants 400 Regen.

Tier 5 - Soul of the Dragon[edit | edit source]

First time: requires 90 Dragon Hoard Coins, 70 Page of Arcane Lore, 5 Gold, [Breyer's Draconic Investigations].
Second time: requires 100 Dragon Hoard Coins, 50 Page of Arcane Lore, 30 Linu's Favor, 6 Gold, [Incantations of the Dragon Queen].
Third time: requires 100 Dragon Hoard Coins, 50 Page of Arcane Lore, 50 Linu's Favor, 5 Gold,[Haarl's Treatise on Dragonkind], [Breyer's Draconic Investigations], [Incantations of the Dragon Queen].

Dragon's Thirst Grants 3/4/5% increased Life Steal.
Dragon's Revival Grants 10/12.5/15% increased Incoming Healing.
Dragon's Fury Grants 5/6.5/8% increased Critical Severity.
Dragon's Grip Grants 10/12.5/15% increased Control Strength.

Stronghold[edit | edit source]

Stronghold boons work differently than other boons. Stronghold Boons are separated into 4 categories: Offense, Defense, Utility, and PvP, and you may only have one boon from each category active a time.

To be able to activate Stronghold boons, Boon Structures must be built. Higher ranks of the corresponding structures give larger benefits from the boons. Any member of the Stronghold's guild may activate any boon that has been unlocked.

Offense Boons[edit | edit source]

Power Bonus Increases Power by 1000/2000/3000/4000/5000/6000/7000/8000. Lessened effects at levels less than 70.
Group Stat Bonus For every player in your group that has this buff it will increase a stat by 400/800/1200/1600/2000/2400. 1 - Deflect, 2 - Recovery, 3 - Critical Strike, 4 - Armor Penetration, 5 - Power.
Critical Severity Bonus Increases Critical Severity by 2.5%/5%/7.5%/10%/12.5%/15%.
Enhance Overload: Companion Ward and Slayer Increases the damage bonus of a Companion Slayer Enchantment, and damage reduction bonus of a Companion Ward Enchantment by 2%/4%/6%/8%/10%/12%/14%/16%/18%/20%.
Armor Penetration Bonus Increases Armor Penetration by 1000/2000/3000/4000/5000/6000/7000/8000. Lessened effects at levels less than 70.
Enhance Overload: Slayer Increases the damage bonus of a PvE Slayer Enchantment by 2%/4%/6%/8%/10%/12%/14%/16%/18%/20%.
Enhance Overload: Ward Increases the damage reduction bonus of a PvE Ward Enchantment by 2%/4%/6%/8%/10%/12%.

Defense Boons[edit | edit source]

Incoming Healing Bonus Increases Incoming Healing by 5%/7%/9%/11%/13%/15%.
Control Resist Bonus Increases Control Resist by 2%/4%/6%/8%/10%/12%/14%/16%.
Critical Hit Resistance Bonus Increases damage resistance to Critical Hits by 2%/4%/6%/8%/10%/12%/14%/16%.
Defense Bonus Increases Defense by 800/1600/2400/3200/4000/4800/5600/6400/7200/8000. Lessened effects at levels less than 70.
Lifesteal Bonus Increases Lifesteal by 800/1600/2400/3200/4000/4800/5600/6400/7200/8000. Lessened effects at levels less than 70.
AoE Resistance Bonus Increases damage resistance from Area of Effect attacks by 2.5%/5%/7.5%/10%/12.5%/15%.
Hit Points Bonus Increases Hit Points by 3,200/6,400/9,600/12,800/16,000/19,200/22,400/25,600/28,800/32,000. Lessened effects at levels less than 70.

Utility Boons[edit | edit source]

Experience Points Bonus Rewards 3%/6%/9%/12%/15%/18%/21%/24%/27%/30% bonus XP.
Treasure Hunter Rewards 3%/6%/9%/12%/15%/18%/21%/24%/27%/30% bonus Gold. Rank 6 and up: Doubles the amount of resources earned from explorer's charts.
Mount Speed Bonus Increases Mount Speed by 3%/7%/10%/14%/17%/20%.
Group Heal Potion Bonus Causes healing potions to heal your group members at 25%/25%/45%/55%/65%/75% effectiveness.
Revive Sickness The time Revive Sickness lasts is reduced to 4:30/4:00/3:30/3:00/2:30/2:00/1:30/1:00
Glory Bonus Rewards 9%/12%/15%/18%/21%/24%/27%/30% bonus Glory.
Healing Potion Bonus Increases healing from Healing Potions by 6%/12%/18%/24%/30%/36%/42%/48%.

PvP Boons[edit | edit source]

Enhance Overload: PvP Ward Increases the damage reduction bonus of a PvP Ward Enchantment by 2%/4%/6%/8%/10%/12%.
Enhance Overload: Stamina Drain Ward Decreases the Stamina drained by any Mark of Stamina Drain by 5%/10%/15%/20%/25%/30%/35%/40% of your maximum Stamina.
Enhance Overload: Stamina Drain Increases Stamina drained by any Mark of Stamina Drain by 5%/10%/15%/20%/25%/30% of the target's maximum Stamina.
Enhance Overload: PvP Slayer Increases the damage bonus of a PvP Slayer Enchantment by 2%/4%/6%/8%/10%/12%/14%/16%.

Tier 1 - Faerzress Exposure[edit | edit source]

"Exposure to concentrated Faerzress has left you strong, Grazilaxx assures you that there is no evidence such exposure can lead to negative side effects..."

Unlocked by completing "Process Faerzress" 3 times.

Primordial Vitality You gain 400 Defense and 1600 Maximum Hit Points.
Primordial Might You gain 400 Power and 1600 Maximum Hit Points.

Tier 2 - Faerzress Suffusion[edit | edit source]

"Faerzress exposure continues to increase your strength, meanwhile Grazilaxx is suspiciously curious about the comings and goings of any headaches..."

Unlocked by completing "Process Faerzress" 7 times in total.

Primordial Regenesis You gain 400 Life Steal and 1600 Maximum Hit Points.
Primordial Focus You gain 400 Critical Strike and 1600 Maximum Hit Points.

Tier 3 - Drow Hunting Techniques[edit | edit source]

"After reading through extensive notes on drow hunting techniques you find yourself more in tune with your body. Either that or the demonic ichor you've been handling has finally gone to your head"

Unlocked by completing "Process Faerzress" 14 times in total. Requires [Drow Hunting Tips]

Drow Meditation You gain 1200 Regeneration.
Drow Ambush Tactics Combat Advantage damage bonus is increased by 10%.

Tier 4 - Dwarven Spelunking[edit | edit source]

"After reading through extensive notes on dwarven spelunking you feel more confident in your footing in the perilous Underdark. Or perhaps this relates to something Grazilaxx mentioned about ichor and inhibition."

Unlocked by completing "Process Faerzress" 21 times in total. Requires [Dwarven Spelunking]

Dwarven Footing Control Effects will now have a 5% shorter duration when applied to you.
Dwarven Stamina You now regain Stamina 5% faster.

Tier 5 - A Touch of Madness[edit | edit source]

"Exposure to corrupted Faerzress and demonic ichor has begun to take its toll. With the help of On Madness and Grazilaxx, you feel as though you've begun to channel the madness within into something... useful."

Unlocked by completing "Process Faerzress" 35 times in total. Requires [On Madness]

Demonic Domination Gain 25% Control Bonus versus demons.
Abyssal Tenacity Demons do 5% less damage to you.
Demon Slayer Gain a chance to slay lesser demons outright. This chance runs from 0-5% depending on the demon’s remaining hit points.
Abyssal Strikes Gain +10% Damage versus Demons.

The Maze Engine Campaign[edit | edit source]

Unlike previous campaigns The Maze Engine has only 4 tiers of boons.

Tier 1 - Repel Demons[edit | edit source]

"Demons have been sighted near Neverwinter. Help push them back!"

Requires 5 Tales of Adventure

Abyssal Siphoning You gain 5% Life Steal Severity.
Abyssal Regeneration You gain 400 Incoming Healing Bonus.

Tier 2 - Defend Neverwinter[edit | edit source]

"Defend Neverwinter from the legions of cultists and demons that seek its destruction."

Requires 10 Tales of Adventure

Demonic Influence You gain 400 Combat Advantage Bonus.
Demonic Resilience Control effects will now have 5% shorter duration when applied to you.

Tier 3 - Assault Demons[edit | edit source]

"The demons and cultists are growing more bold in their attacks. Defeat them wherever they appear to ensure the safety of the region."

Requires 15 Tales of Adventure

Demonic Endurance Your stamina regenerates 10% faster in combat.
Demonic Swiftness You now gain action points 3% faster.

Tier 4 - Destroy the Maze Engine[edit | edit source]

"Confront Baphomet and destroy the Maze Engine."

Requires 3 Tales of Adventure

Displace Fate Your stamina regenerates 10% faster in combat.
Engine Inspiration You healing spells have a chance to heal allies around you for 20,000 Hit Points.
Baphomet's Might When striking a foe you have a chance to gain 2000 Critical Strike bonus for 6 seconds.
Baleful Clutch Grants 10% Increased Control Strength.

PvP Campaign[edit | edit source]

Tier 1[edit | edit source]

Supply Line You gain 500 Movement while flagged for PvP. Allies within 10 feet of you get half this bonus. (Can not stack with itself.)
Living Wall You gain 250 Defense and 250 Deflect while flagged for PvP.
Legion's Valor You gain 250 Power and 250 Critical Strike while flagged for PvP.

Tier 2[edit | edit source]

Combat Triage Allies near you who take damage are granted 3000 hit points over 6 seconds while you are flagged for PvP. (Does not stack.)
Inspiring Defense Nearby allies gain up to 10% additional damage resistance as their health decreases while you are flagged for PVP. (Does not stack)
Vanguard's Resolve Players who strike you grant you 400 Power for 8 seconds. Each foe can only add 400 at a time. (Max 2000)

Tier 3[edit | edit source]

Versatile Warrior You gain 400 Power and 400 Recovery whenever an ally or enemy is within 20 feet of you while flagged for PvP.
Tactical Redeployment You gain 25% additional movement speed when there are no enemy or allied players within 20 feet of you while flagged for PvP. (This effect does not work if you have recently been damaged by a player)
Unbroken Line You gain 400 Defense for each teammate within 20 feet of you while flagged for PvP. (Max of 5 players)
Wicked Assault You gain 400 Life Steal for each enemy player within 20 feet of you while flagged for PvP. (Max of 5 players)

Extra[edit | edit source]

Corruption Seeker Earn 3% more Black Ice from all sources. (Bugged[1])
Grym Depths Seeker Chance to gain a Grym coin when killing a player on the Gauntlgrym battleground.
Glory Seeker Earn 5 Glory when killing a player on a Domination map.

References[edit | edit source]

  1. Neither PvP or PvE Black Ice nodes drop more raw black ice with this boon. Even the reward Black Ice from Quests isn't increased.
